Chloris \ch-lo-ris\ as a girl's name is of Greek origin, and the meaning of Chloris is "green, greenish-yellow". From "khloros". Greek mythology: a minor goddess of vegetation who was also the goddess of spring. The name is thus the Greek equivalent of Flora.
